LCTV News | March 22, 2024 – Full broadcast
This week on LCTV News we cover some of the big headlines of the past week including the City of Lynn’s new resident reporting app, Vision Lynn earning its second award, students from English securing top honors in a local science league meet, and more big news from this past week. We also show recaps of the Irish flag raising ceremony, LPS All City Art Exhibit, and other events from over the last week.
We had a double Lowdown this week, featuring Lynn’s DEI Officer on one and the East Lynn Little League on the other.
The City of Lynn’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Officer Faustina Cuevas was our guest on the first Lowdown. Faustina covers what a DEI Officer does and some of what has been accomplished by the DEI Office. Language access coordinators have been implemented, city employees have gone through special training, and more have been done over the last 3 years.
To contact Faustina please call 781-586-6744, email fcuevas@lynnma.gov, or visit the DEI Office at City Hall.
On the second Lowdown we welcomed in the East Lynn Little League. Chuck Dinner (President) & Wendell Aupont (Softball Director) came on to discuss ELL’s upcoming baseball and softball clinics, tryouts, and more. Last year 250 kids participated, and the hope is to get the same amount of exceed it this year.
