LCTV News Interview | Grand Army of the Republic Hall & Museum: Civil War History & Renovations (May 30, 2024)
The Grand Army of The Republic Hall & Museum were our guests on this edition of the Lynn Lowdown. Wendy Joseph (Curator & Building Manager) and Patti Pendexter (Chair of the GAR Trustees) joined us to discuss renovations and future plans for the GAR. This renovation project will take many months but will bring the building up to ADA compliance, revitalize the building to its former glory, and open opportunities. The GAR houses hundreds of pieces of memorabilia from various wars, but mainly the Civil War, and the massive meeting hall honors all those who served from Lynn in the Civil War. Find out more about the GAR by calling 617-680-1707, visiting garlynn.org, or going to room 104 in City Hall. ____________________________________ THE LCTV NEWS IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY NORTH SHORE COMMUNITY COLLEGE, ENCOMPASS HEALTH, LEO INC, & COMMUNITY BROTHERHOOD CREDIT UNION!
