This week on LCTV News we cover some of the big headlines of the past week including KIPP proposing an expansion, West Nile found in Lynn, Cultural Council grants, and more big news from this past week. We also show recaps of the last Final Fridays of 2024 and more events that happened around Lynn.
This week we feature two interviews for events happening next weekend, with My Brothers Table & the Lynn Music Foundation.

On the first Lowdown we talk about the 2024 Lynn film Festival happening from October 12 – 14, 2024. Executive Director Edwin Cabrera of the Lynn Music Foundation joined Dani to talk about this exciting lineup of documentary screenings, community events, and celebrations of Lynn’s rich musical heritage. Each day will be filled with documentary screenings at The Neal Rantoul Vault Theatre and Lynn Auditorium, focusing on the vibrant music communities of Lynn and beyond. There will also be events such as a pop-up photo gallery by Julie Kramer, showcasing her iconic photography from WFNX studios and the surrounding area. On the second Lowdown we highlight the upcoming 8 Million Meals Walk happening on Sunday, October 12, 2024. The walk begins and ends at First church in Swampscott, going 3 miles along the Lynn & Swampscott shoreline. President of the My Brother’s Table Board of Directors Donna Coppola joined Dani to talk about the walk and MBT’s newly renovated dining area.
