Governor Charlie Baker has extended non-essential business closures, stay-at-home orders, & gatherings of no more than 10 through May 18th.

In addition to these extensions, Gov. Baker announced the formation of a Reopening Advisory Board which will consist of public health officials, business leaders, & municipal government representatives from across the state of MA. They will be tasked with creating a report by May 18th to help re-open the state.

Attorney General Maura Healey’s office has created informational posters in 10 languages. These materials list different financial assistance available, including info on eviction, debt collection, utility shutoff, price gouging, and much more.

Today the Lynn Public Schools announced their boys & girls 2020 All City All Star team!

Even though the season was cut short, boys and girls basketball teams from Lynn’s elementary schools played in the 2020 Lynn Elementary Basketball Tournament. Coaches and tournament staff came up with the list last week, which you can see by clicking here.

If you 1) receive benefits through either the VA or Social Security Administration AND you; 2) didn’t file a 2018/2019 tax return; AND if you 3) have dependents, the IRS made a specific tool for you so you can secure an additional $500 per eligible child.

The Lynn Public Health Department has confirmed that as of today, the number of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases has risen to 1,635, 204 have recovered, and 46 Lynn residents have died.
