The Galleries at LynnArts (GALA) currently has a call for art for their new exhibit “D is for Disrupt“.
D is for Disrupt invites you to share work that breaks rules, bends expectations, and boldly goes where polite society might not. This exhibit celebrates the art of rebellion—whether it’s personal, political, cultural, or conceptual. If your work stirs the pot, rattles cages, causes discomfort, throws things into disorder, or questions authority, we want to put it on display! We’re looking for artists who dare to disturb the norm, challenge the comfortable, and spark critical dialogue. Whether you’re pushing back against power, deconstructing identity, or just flipping the bird to conformity—this is your platform.
All media welcome: painting, collage, mixed media, sculpture, installation, photography, video, performance proposals, and more. GALA will only accept AI-generated work that is created using prompts based on your own original artwork, concepts, or creative input.
Intake will run from August 20th-23rd. The opening reception will be on Wednesday, August 27th from 6pm-9pm.
