From the Galleries at LynnArts: GALA currently has a call for art for their new exhibit “Light“.
Light can be many things: illumination, clarity, warmth, memory, truth, energy, or transformation. In times of uncertainty or transition, light becomes both a metaphor and a material—something we seek, create, carry, or become. This exhibition invites artists to explore light in its physical, emotional, spiritual, and symbolic forms.
We welcome works that investigate light as presence or absence, as softness or intensity, as hope, revelation, resistance, or quiet endurance. Interpretations may be abstract or representational, subtle or bold, personal or collective.
Submission deadline is February 21.
The opening reception will take place on February 27 from 6-9pm.
Exhibit runs from February 27 – March 18, 2026.

Wednesday-Friday from 3-7pm
Saturday from 12-4pm

All mediums are accepted, including but not limited to painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, fiber, mixed media, digital work, and installation. Artists at all stages of their practice are encouraged to apply.
GALA invites artists to consider:
- How do we experience light—in the world and within ourselves?
- What does light reveal, protect, or transform?
- How does light guide, comfort, or disrupt?
Submission Guidelines:
- Open to all artists
- Up to 3 pieces per artist may be submitted
- Include title, medium, size, and a brief artist statement about how your work relates to Light.
- Submit your work via this Google Form by February 21, 2026
- Cannot have been shown at GALA in the past 3 years
- Hanging artwork should be framed or sides appropriately finished. The hanging method is gallery style with wire, so ALL pieces must be wired to hang on a hook.

- Bring your pieces to the Main Gallery during intake:
- February 18–20: 3PM – 7PM
- February 21: 12PM – 4PM
