From United Lynn Pride: As part of Pride Month activities, the Lynn Museum & Arts Center (LMAC) along with United Lynn Pride (ULP) have teamed up for their 6th annual Lynn PRIDE gallery show. This gallery show will run from June 26 through October 10 in the Museum building’s second-floor community gallery.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, June 26 from 5-9 pm, as part of “Final Fridays: Pride Xtravaganza”. More details on Final Fridays coming soon.

Authentically YOU is a gallery theme that celebrates the full spectrum of queer identity, expression, and becoming. The concept centers on self‑definition, visibility, and the courage it takes to live as your truest self in a world that often demands conformity. It invites artists and viewers alike to step into a space where queerness is not explained or defended — it is lived, felt, and honored.

The LMAC and ULP are seeking paintings, photographs, poetry, prints, sculptures, and other visual artworks. LGBTQIA+ identifying artists from the Lynn community or with ties to the Lynn community are encouraged to submit between one and three artworks for consideration for the exhibition.

Eligibility

  • Artists from the North Shore, Greater Boston, and beyond are welcome to apply, but Lynn artists (living, working, or practicing in Lynn) are preferred.
  • Individuals must identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
  • Artwork should not exceed 4’ x 4’ and must be 50 lbs or less.

Entry Requirements

  • Artist resume, including biography and exhibition record (if possible)
  • Images of artworks to be considered (jpg, png preferred)
  • Artist statement, including a description of the artwork(s) and materials used, as well as an image of the artist

Artists should email entry materials to director@lynnmuseum.org.

LMAC staff will be responsible for installing work for the exhibition. 2D works should be framed, finished, and ready to hang gallery-style with wire. Some easels are available for use. To discuss sculptural pieces, email director@lynnmuseum.org.

Selection Process & Notification

Entries will be reviewed by a handful of judges representing LMAC and ULP.
