Centerboard Calls on Community To “Rise Up To the Match”
From Centerboard: Throughout the month of August, Centerboard is calling on our community to help bridge We Rise’s funding gap and ensure the program continues to be a safe, supportive space for those who need it most.
This Summer, Centerboard’s “We Rise EmpowHER” campaign has been shining a light on the reality of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) and the strength of those impacted. Their mission is clear: to connect, educate, and empower youth who are at risk or have experienced exploitation, reminding them they have a voice, a choice, and support.

But due to significant federal funding cuts, We Rise is at risk of losing $300,000 – a devastating blow to programs that support hundreds of young women + girls across Essex County.
A kind + generous anonymous donor has pledged a $25,000 match to We Rise’s mission. Our $50,000 goal will not only help us to keep We Rise active within our community but also directly support the young people that they serve each and everyday
As of August 12, 2025 a total of $5,970 has been raised towards the goal of $25,000.
