Charitable Thanksgiving Pub Crawl Returns for 2nd Year

Following the tremendous success of its inaugural year, Drinksgiving, a Lynn pub crawl (21 and over) to raise money for those in need of Thanksgiving meals, is set to return on November 18th, 2023.

The route has been slightly modified, with the crawl beginning at 1 p.m. at Gannon Golf Course’s “19th Hole”, where t-shirts will be distributed and raffle tickets can be purchased. The remaining list of bars and their times include: Jade Pacifica (3 p.m.), Rolly’s Tavern on the Square (4 p.m.), and Tony’s Pub (6 p.m.). Participants are welcome to join at any stop along the route.

Tickets to attend, which come with a festive t-shirt, can be purchased at drinksgiving781.eventbrite.com. The same web address can also be used by those who want to donate, but are unable to attend. Check, cash, or venmo can also be accepted if the organizers are contacted (781-715-9292). Shirt sales will likely close around November 10th to allow for printing time.

Organizers Thomas Mackin and Sean Reid say they are excited to build on the excitement and momentum of the first year. “This event once again is just about bringing the community together to raise money in an enjoyable and positive way,” said Mackin. “It is also great for some of our favorite local business along the route.”

Last year’s fesitivies raised over $6,000. The funds were distributed to local business (Innergy) owner Mike Quintana to support his turkey giveaway (in partnership with Lynn Schools), Lynn’s Community Fridge, and directly to families.

“The success of the first Drinksgiving was beyond our expectations, and we are so grateful to everyone who participated and supported this cause,” said Reid. “We are striving to make this year even more fun and impactful by raising more glasses and more funds.”
