The City of Lynn recently began holding hearings for the FY’24 budget. Department heads presented what their budget were like now and what they would look like in the new fiscal year. This meeting is available to watch in full by clicking here. Now Mayor Nicholson has announced that the budget has been posted online for the community to review. From Mayor Jared Nicholson:
I am pleased to announce that the City of Lynn’s Fiscal Year 2024 budget is now available for the community to read.
This budget allows us to maintain fiscal discipline while making key strategic investments in support of lasting, positive improvements to benefit our residents. Overall, this budget represents a responsible approach to delivering City services effectively, spending taxpayer dollars wisely, addressing issues equitably, and planning strategically for our future.
Thank you to the entire team who helped with the development of this budget: City Council President Walsh, whom I’ve been in close contact with, Chief Financial Officer Michael Bertino and his team, all the Department Heads and their teams, as well as my team in the Mayor’s Office. I look forward to continuing working with everyone in Fiscal Year 2024 toward a bright future for all of us in Lynn.
