Concerned Citizens of Lynn is continuing their annual tradition of collecting toys, clothes, and more for families in need. In 2021 this community organization wrapped and personally delivered over 4,000 gifts, from toys to food. The Concerned Citizens of Lynn are a non-profit, community-based organization with the aim to make Lynn “a better, safer and happier place” with their network of volunteers. They organize community events, donation drives, provide civic engagement, & more.
The Concerned Citizens of Lynn do not have a cut off age, with president Lisa Pressman saying, “We never felt it would be fair if for example a 16 year old gets to see their younger siblings with toys and they get nothing. So we go out of our way to include all.”
However, the CCOL are not only looking for new, unwrapped toys. Last year the group received requests for food, toiletries, and new warm pajamas in addition to toys. For pajamas they are looking for girls & boys, ages 4-12. Another request was for hats & gloves. Donations can be dropped off in person or picked up, which can be arranged through Lisa.
Even though physical donations are greatly appreciated they also request cash donations to help get items that may be requested but not donated. The CCoL accepts donations in the form of checks, Venmo, Facebook, or PayPal. If you have any questions please send the Concerned Citizens an email: info@concernedcitizensoflynn.com.
