From Ward 7 Councilor Jordan T. Avery: Lynn City Councilor Jordan T. Avery is proud to announce the First Annual Ward 7 Family Fun Day, a free community event designed to bring neighbors together, strengthen community connections, and provide a fun, safe, and welcoming day for families throughout Lynn.
The event will take place on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Barry Park, with a rain date of Sunday, July 19, 2026.
As a newly elected City Councilor, Avery said one of his priorities has been creating opportunities for residents to connect outside of City Hall.
“When I was growing up, neighbors knew neighbors. Kids played outside together, families looked out for one another, and there was a stronger sense of community,” said Avery. “As a newly elected City Councilor, I felt it was important to create an event that brings people together, helps neighbors get to know one another again, and provides a safe, family-friendly day right here in Ward 7. My hope is that this becomes a tradition that continues for years to come.”
Admission is free and open to all residents and families.

- DJ & Music
- Food & Snacks
- Community Resources
- Dunk Tank sponsored by Cuckie’s Soft Serve Ice Cream
The Ward 7 Family Fun Day Planning Committee is currently seeking volunteers, sponsors, and donations from local businesses, organizations, and community members throughout Lynn and the North Shore to help make the event a success.
All sponsorships and donations will go directly toward event activities, supplies, entertainment, and ensuring the event remains free for families.
