2024 Lynn Film Festival

The Lynn Film Festival returns from October 12th to 14th, 2024, with an exciting lineup of documentary screenings, community events, and celebrations of Lynn’s rich musical heritage. Held at The Neal Rantoul Vault Theatre and Lynn Auditorium, the festival will shine a spotlight on the vibrant music communities of Lynn and beyond.

OCTOBER 12th, 2024 | 11AM – 10PM

Location: The Neal Rantoul Vault Theatre | 25 Exchange St. Lynn, MA 01901
The festival kicks off with a tribute to Lynn’s hip hop scene, featuring the Lynn Hip Hop Wall of Fame—a community-driven recognition of the local artists who have shaped the city’s cultural landscape. From 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, attendees will honor the legacies of these influential figures.
Film Screenings:
2:00 PM – Lynn Hip Hop Documentary, directed by Edwin Cabrera
6:00 PM – Wortown Rising, directed by Kaz Supernova

OCTOBER 13th, 2024 | 1PM – 8PM

Location: Lynn Auditorium | 3 City Hall Square, Lynn, MA 01901
This day features screenings of films that highlight radio’s role in shaping the musical and cultural landscape of Massachusetts.
Film Screenings:
2:00 PM – WNBC And The American Revolution, directed by Bill Lichtenstein
4:30 PM – The Road to Ruane, directed by Scott Evans, Michael Gill
Activities:
6:30 PM – A live Q&A session with filmmakers

Location: The Neal Rantoul Vault Theatre | 25 Exchange St. Lynn, MA 01901
The final day of the festival will showcase stories of community radio and its impact on the local scene.
Film Screenings:
5:00 PM – We Want The Airwaves, directed by Jason Steeves
Activities:
A pop-up photo gallery by Julie Kramer, showcasing her iconic photography from WFNX studios and the surrounding area.
