NMYO Chamber Music Concert – March 2026

Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestras (NMYO) present a chamber music concert on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 3:00pm at Shore Country Day School, 545 Cabot St, Beverly, MA 01915.
This concert features NMYO’s Symphony Orchestra and Select Intermezzo Orchestra and Wind Ensemble musicians. It is the culmination of an eight-week rehearsal period during which each of the small string, woodwind, flute, brass, and percussion ensembles rehearse with visiting professional musicians. These ten small ensembles will perform music by both classical and modern composers including Francis Poulenc, Antonio Vivaldi, Franz Joseph Haydn, Astor Piazzolla, and Alexander Borodin.
“The skills our students gain—listening, communication, leadership, and musical independence—extend far beyond their chamber group, shaping them into more expressive, confident musicians in every ensemble they play” says Michael Coelho, NMYO’s Music Director.
Join us in person for this free-to-the public performance at the beautiful Shore Country Day School Trustey Family Theater in Beverly. NMYO is committed to making its concerts accessible to all patrons and will make reasonable accommodations when possible. For assistance, contact the NMYO office at 978-309-9833.

Led by Music Director Michael Coelho, with an accomplished team of music professionals, NMYO’s 130 musicians come from 40+ towns throughout northeast Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire and participate in one or more of the five large ensembles offered. The regular rehearsal and concert schedule is supplemented with master classes, enrichment days, chamber music, and community service outreach concerts to underserved populations. You too can join NMYO! Musicians are now being added for the second semester. Rehearsals are held weekly just off I-95 and Route 1 in Topsfield/Boxford. NMYO is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.
