From Centro de Lectura Familiar: During the month of October, Centro de Lectura will be offering free dyslexia evaluations to anyone ages 5 to adult.
These evaluations are confidential, take place in person or online, and are generally completed in approximately 1 hour. A reading assessment consists of a series of in-person activities, which include:
- A family questionnaire
- A phonemic awareness screening test (using David Kilpatrick’s PAST tool)
- Reading a short text
- Spelling pseudowords (nonsense words)
Please note, an in-person location has not yet been selected. Online assessments will be done via Google Meet.
