Lynn Hip Hop Wall of Fame seeks members for Board of Directors & Subcommittee

The Lynn Hip Hop Wall of Fame project is recruiting members to be apart of the Board of Directors and Subcommittee. The Lynn Hip Hop Wall of Fame is a community driven mural to commemorate the talented hip hop artists from Lynn and support the long history of Lynn hip hop culture.

25 inductees will be voted on by the Lynn hip hop community for the first induction ceremony tentatively scheduled for Summer 2021 with 5 honorees for a total of 30 inductees in the first year. Every year after the initial induction, 5 more inductees will be added so that the culture continues to move forward. The Lynn Hip Hop Wall of Fame Mural will be Lynn’s version of an annual hip hop awards ceremony.

The mural includes the top 10 rappers in Lynn, Top 5 Battle Rappers, Top 5 Producers, and top 5 people that have uplifted the hip hop community. Lynn hip hop fans will vote in a survey to decide who deserves the go on the wall. The voting is meant to spark conversations within the community about artists that represent Lynn hip hop. The goal being that these conversations will lead to more people recognizing the talent in their community by engaging each other in debate.

The goal for the board of directors is to be a collective brain trust of Lynn hip hop culture that will be reflected in the work the Lynn Hip Hop Wall of Fame creates. A monthly commitment LHHWF board meetings is needed in order to be a member of the board of directors.

Subcommittee Membership

In order to ensure a fair and balanced as well as a curated voting process, the LHHWF is seeking individuals who have a strong knowledge of Lynn hip hop to join the subcommittee team.
