Lynn Hispanic Scholarship Fund Announces 2023 Scholarship Recipients
¡Felicitaciones! We are excited to welcome these 16 students to the long line of accomplished scholars and involved community members who continue to serve and represent Lynn as proud Latinos. Your leadership, activism and service give us hope for the next generation of strong Latino/a/x movers and shakers in our community!
Our Scholarship Selection Committee enjoyed reading your application and learning about your journey and your hopes and dreams through your resume, essay and recommendation letter.
This year we will host our 32nd Annual LHSF Scholarship Awards Gala in their honor on Friday, May 19 at the Knights of Columbus, 177 Lynnfield St. Lynn, MA. If you’re interested in supporting any of these students, don’t forget to purchase a ticket ($50), or a table ($350 for 8 people).
About the Lynn Hispanic Scholarship Fund
The Lynn Hispanic Scholarship Fund mission is to provide annual scholarships to students of Latino and/or Hispanic ancestry, who are graduating from one of the five high schools serving Lynn, to help them continue their post-secondary education.
Since its inception, the LHSF has been celebrating and awarding over 300 scholarships to Lynn High School graduates, a majority of whom come from homes with limited incomes and are first time college goers. Every year our selection committee awards about 15 scholarships to help students pursue a higher education. This means that over the years we have awarded nearly $150,000.00 in scholarship funds to well-deserved students. We believe that our scholarship encourages and motivates award recipients to continue their education, and provides additional monetary support when students go to their prospective colleges and universities.
The above information was submitted to us by the Lynn Hispanic Scholarship Fund.
