Lynnway will be reduced to two travel lanes between Market Street and Nahant Road rotary.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing construction of a shared-use path along the Lynnway between Market Street and the Nahant Road rotary in Lynn and Nahant will begin on Wednesday, July 31.  Construction will take place Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

As part of the Lynnway shared-use path construction, a travel lane will be permanently eliminated, and a 10-foot-wide two-way bicycle lane will be installed.

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.

Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency.
