Amazing things can happen when people and food come together. My Brother’s Table’s cookbook, To Nourish represents a community dedicated to nourishing others. It includes recipes and photos which span decades of Table supporters, friends and colleagues, regular kind-hearted cooks and superlative chefs.

Find recipes from renowned chefs like Jamie Bissonette, Jason Santos, and Tim Haigh; from popular Boston restaurants like SRV, Season To Taste, and La Morra. It includes dishes from local political leaders such as First Lady Lauren Baker and Lynn Mayor Thomas McGee. It even features recipes from local craft beer brewery Bent Water Brewing Co. and much much more!

Just as the food found within its pages is meant to be shared, To Nourish was created to raise funds for My Brother’s Table to provide meals for our guests.  The book features 80+ recipes, sells for $35,  and can be purchased on the Table’s website at www.mybrotherstable.org or by calling the office at 781-595-3224, M-F 10am-6pm.

About My Brother’s Table

Since 1982, My Brother’s Table (MBT), the largest soup kitchen on the North Shore, has served over 5.3 million free, hot meals to women, men, and children in need. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the needs of our community have increased exponentially and we’ve responded by serving over 1.6 million meals since the pandemic began in March 2020.  Although some sectors of the economy are recovering, many of our neighbors are still struggling with food insecurity and continue to need our help. As such, we are on track to serve over 900,000 meals in 2021 .

MBT’s mission is to nourish its community everyday through hospitality, free meals, and unconditional love. It is privately funded, and does not receive or seek federal, state, or local aid to insure the privacy of its guests, and to serve the greatest number of people in need. Funding comes from individual donations, events, and private grants. MBT also relies heavily on donated food from supermarkets, restaurants, food drives, and individuals.
