Pop-up @ GALA presents Ms Lu from July 6-12 | July 1, 2021

All summer long, GALA (Galleries at LynnArts) will be offering week long Pop-ups to area artists and creatives. From July 6th to 12th, Ms Lu will be in the community gallery.

Fifteen months ago, our very humanity was stretched beyond imagination. In so many ways we were fractured and broken, from a global pandemic, none of us could have ever dreamed possible. And yet, as restrictions are being lifted, we stand in the gap, ready to emerge on the dawn of new beginnings from the enormous devastations, and all we have been through, with HOPE.

But how do we begin anew when so much has changed and much of ourselves has also changed? How do we imagine new ways of doing the old, we can no longer do?  What sustained and inspired us during the struggles during those months in lockdown that birthed a new thing in us? How do we find the courage to go forward with that new reality, better and stronger?

Importantly, how do we meet and talk with one another again because more than ever, our words matter ~~~Come, let’s start the conversations ~ I invite you to the small Gallery at Lynn Arts, the week of July 6th through the 12th to a display of beautifully framed inspirational words of healing poetry, as you see from the pictures. Come and also be refreshed as you listen to readings of some for your enjoyment. I look forward to seeing you.

On July 10th and 11th, there will be live readings and spoken word.
