Registration open for winter session at Lynn Community Enrichment Program
Registration is now open for the Lynn Community Enrichment Program’s 2024 winter session with classes on conversational Spanish, poetry, computer literacy, and more.
The Lynn Community Enrichment Program (LCEP) is a non-profit that was founded in 2015 “as a way to utilize the amazing resources available to Greater Lynn residents contained in Lynn Vocational Technical Institute”. This was a collaborative effort between the New Lynn Coalition, a coalition of community groups, and the Lynn Public Schools. Tuition is kept affordable, with all fees going towards recruiting teachers and materials needed for courses.
The goal is to help residents of the North Shore improve their skills, advance in their career, or simply have fun learning something new. The sessions are 6 weeks long from February 20 – March 28, with classes once a week from 6-8pm. Classes being offered this session include:
- Spanish for Beginners
- Conversational Spanish
- Pottery (Note: held at Marshall Middle School)
- Yoga (Note: Geld at Washington Elementary School)
- Basic English as a Second Language
- Computer Applications in English – Beginners Level
- Computer Applications in Haitian Creole – Beginners Level
