Leading immigrant justice and worker-centered organizations across Massachusetts have coalesced to respond to the Trump Administration’s attack on immigrant communities. Dubbed the LUCE Immigrant Justice Network of Massachusetts, this new network of organizations is grassroots and immigrant-led, committed to building people’s power across Massachusetts.

The LUCE Network organizes through grassroots action, information sharing, and mutual aid to keep all communities safe. The Immigrant Justice Hotline is open to all undocumented immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, and mixed-status families living in Massachusetts. It also supports allies, educators, and employers seeking guidance on immigrant rights and protections. LUCE’s commitment to immigrant justice is rooted in its broader mission to fight for the collective liberation of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color; immigrants and refugees; people targeted by incarceration; LGBTQ+ individuals; youth; and all those marginalized by systemic injustice.

LUCE invites community partners, legal professionals, and volunteers to help spread the word and join the fight for immigrant justice.

“The LUCE Immigrant Justice Hotline is more than just a phone number, it’s a lifeline for people who often have nowhere else to turn,” Said one LUCE Volunteer who requested to remain anonymous. “Whether someone is facing a sudden ICE raid, needs urgent legal advice, or just wants to understand their rights, this hotline offers support, dignity, and hope in real time. It’s about community protecting community.”

The hotline works with trained volunteers available during normal business hours to respond to urgent calls. Once a call is verified, LUCE dispatches a team on location to provide mental, emotional, and practical resources to the community. The volunteers assist in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, with more languages to be added. The lines are free and confidential with connections to legal clinics and grassroots community resources.

Network members include Asian American Resource Workshop (AARW), Asian Pacific Islanders Civic Action Network (APIs CAN), Boston Immigration Justice Accompaniment Network (BIJAN), Brazilian Women’s Group, City Life / Vida Urbana, Essex County Community Organization (ECCO), Families for Justice As Healing (FJAH), Homes For All Massachusetts, La Comunidad, Lowell Alliance, Lynn United for Change, Mass Bail Fund, MassCOSH, Matahari Women Workers’ Center, Muslim Justice League, Neighbor To Neighbor Massachusetts, UU Mass Action, and Welcome Immigrant Network Salem.
