The Boys & Girls Club of Lynn Announces Major Facility Reconstruction Beginning June 1st

The Boys & Girls Club of Lynn is thrilled to announce that they will be undergoing a major reconstruction of their facility beginning on June 1st! This project will be a 14-month renovation with expectations to unveil their new and improved facility by September 2026. Due to the growth and success of BCGL’s programs, they have reached capacity. This improvement will enable the organization to flourish, increase enrollment, and eliminate waitlists. In addition, BCGL will have the opportunity to expand their network allowing more community partners to utilize the new and improved amenities within the facility.

The following upgrades will impact the Drop-In Center, Kids Club, and Teen Center.

The Drop-In Center will include a commercial kitchen and cafeteria which will allow the cooking club to excel as well as provide a dedicated kitchen to transition BCGL meals in-house while meeting the nutritional needs of members, a splash pad & pool that will supply the essential resources for swimming lessons and water safety, and an upgraded gym that will heighten basketball and additional athletic programs.

The Kids Club (Licensed OST Programming) will include two supplemental classrooms to welcome over 60 new members and a dedicated Kids Club gymnasium providing a safe space for younger members to engage in age-related activities and games. Additionally, the gym will serve a dual purpose by converting into a theater with a stage and seating for BCGL’s theater program. This will allow them to host theater productions and become a cost-effective feature at Boys & Girls Club of Lynn.

The Teen Center will have an upgraded Planet Fitness which will include more equipment to help them establish healthy habits, a Dance & Theater practice space, a Gameroom, and a dedicated Keystone Conference Room. Many of BCGL’s Teen program spaces are shared with other programs limiting them with restricted hours. These enhancements will allow Teens to have their “own wing” of the building empowering them to thrive, succeed, and reach their fullest potential.
