Below is a press release that we received from Mayor McGee’s office on Monday, April 13, 2020, clarification to the curfew order, an update to the status of Urgent Care in Lynn & the North Shore.

North Shore Medical Center announced that the Urgent Care Center at the Union Hospital Campus will be closed temporarily so that resources and staff can be redeployed to respond to the COVID-19 Crisis. The Urgent Care space will be converted into a Respiratory Clinic for Partners Healthcare patients with both COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 respiratory conditions expected to open this week.
Urgent care services will remain available for patients at:
• Lynn Community Health Center | 269 Union Street in Lynn
• NSMC Urgent Care, Mass General/North Shore Center for Outpatient Care | 104 Endicott St. in Danvers
• Family Doctors Urgent Care | 250 Paradise Road in Swampscott

The Lynn Public Health Department has confirmed that as of today, the number of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases has risen to 621, 33 have recovered, and 11 Lynn residents have died.
We will continue to provide regular updates on COVID-19 through the City website (www.lynnma.gov), social media, and the Smart 911 emergency notification system (sign up at www.smart911.com).
We received a number of questions about the curfew order and face covering requirements, here is some clarification. It reads: “The Mayor and the Public Health Director hereby order all residents of and visitors to the City of Lynn stay at home between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. unless they are actively providing or receiving COVID-19 Essential Services as defined by the Governor’s March 23, 2020 Order, as extended.” If you are traveling, or assisting a family member going to or from an essential services job during the curfew hours, you simply need to carry documentation with you that identifies the essential service you are providing.
Secondly, the orders require face coverings in a number of instances, but it states “cloth face covering, such as a fabric mask, scarf or bandana, over their nose and mouth.” This requirement is not meant to be surgical masks or N-95 respirators, in fact we ask you to not buy those, so that they can be left for medical professionals and first responders.
