This week on the LCTV News we reported on the city’s new Supervisor of Attendance, “Lynnebago” design receiving grant money, Lynner named Times’ Breakthrough of the Year, local sports, and more news from the week. We also show recaps of multiple holiday tree lightnings (from the GLCC & City of Lynn), the Lynn Chamber Players event, Brownfields Award ceremony, and other events from over the last week.

The Lowdown this week will feature interviews with both North shore Community College talking about the new MassReconnect program & the Lynn Senior Center.
North Shore Community College (NSCC) visited us for the first Lowdown to discuss free community college via the MassReconnect program. MassReconnect is a program for those 25 and up that pays for tuition, fees, and more to earn a certificate or associate degree for the first time. On the second Lowdown we talk with the Senior Center about some of their programs and activities. The City of Lynn’s new Director of Elder Services Megan Simpson-Best sat down to talk about new programs, events, trips, and more that the city’s seniors can take advantage of.
