This week on LCTV News we cover some of the big headlines of the past week including EV charging coming to Lynn, LPS receiving $48K in Civics Teaching Grants, Beyond Walls expanding their Classroom to the Streets initiative, and more big news from this past week. On this week’s double edition of the Lynn Lowdown we welcomed on the REAL Program to discuss their new preschool and ECCO to talk about legislative action they’re organizing in Lynn on July 23rd.

On the first Lowdown we were joined by the REAL Program. Executive Director Jan Plourde discussed REAL’s new preschool program, Starting Small. This is a morning-only preschool that follows the LPS academic calendar, where “literacy is woven throughout the day and the basis for language development”.

The Essex County Community Organization (ECCO) were our guests on the second Lowdown. Community Organizer Colette Lima & Board Co-President Brenda Womack joined Dani to discuss their upcoming legislative forum on July 23rd and their general mission around housing justice. On the 23rd they will host a forum with State Legislators to discuss displacement and the rising cost of housing.
