This week on LCTV News we cover some of the big headlines of the past week including Tuesday’s election results, Water & Sewer Commission receiving a grant, NSJA seeking Black Excellence nominations, and more big news from this past week. We also show recaps of GLSS’ Veterans Day Luncheon, and more from around the city.

KIPP Academy’s recent request to expand is the subject on this special edition of the Lynn Lowdown. Superintendent of Lynn Public Schools Dr. Evonne Alvarez & Executive Director of KIPP academy – Lynn Nikki Barnes joined LCTV News Director Dani Vittori to discuss KIPP’s application to the state for expansion, address funding issues, benefits for students either way, and more. Each side brought up the pros and cons of this move, using data and research. Both sides of the issue were given approx. 12 minutes to state their cases, and a coin flip determined that LPS would present first.
