WARD & PRECINCT CHANGES

The following information is courtesy of City Clerk & Chief of Elections Janet Rowe

Effective 2022, we have many Ward and Precinct changes: 6,000 throughout the city.

This is due to the increase in population from the 2020 Census which caused the Legislature to change some Districts in the City.  We have 4 State Reps in Lynn and they all picked up more areas due to the increased population.  These changes along with an additional 2 Precincts, are due to the increased State Legislature Districts.

If you click here you will go to the City Clerk’s section of the City of Lynn website.  Scroll down on the left to “City Street Listings” and you will see the  list of streets in our City.  The highlighted streets are the ones that have changed.  The City has been advertising this on the city website, in newspapers, and on our social media sites. The Ward Councilors have been reaching out to many constituents to let them know they are in a new Ward for quite some time now.  In addition, the City Clerk’s office opted to send voter letters closer to Election time so it would be fresh in voter’s minds on where to vote.
