LCTV News | Flag Retirement & Ashes Internment Ceremony (June 11, 2022)
The City of Lynn held their annual Flag Retirement & Ashes Internment Ceremony on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Pine Grove Cemetery. The community was invited down to properly dispose of their American flags, as well as interment of ashes. According to the U.S. Flag Code, “The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning”.
