24-hour hotline in Lynn, Peabody, Saugus for victims of commercial sexual exploitation
The We Rise program is run by Centerboard and “brings together survivors of commercial sexual exploitation with key community allies in order to prevent, intervene against, and promote recovery from the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC)”. Their comprehensive, survivor-informed program empowers girls and young women through community outreach, emergency intervention, & transitional/ongoing support.
We Rise provides Emergency Intervention Services in Lynn, Peabody, and Saugus via 24/7 on-call response for youth who are victims of Commercial Sexual Exploitation (CSEC), dispatching outreach workers directly to the scene to provide victims with immediate psychological support, advocacy, and assistance. The We Rise Hotline is available to youth, families, community members, law enforcement, and service providers in the Lynn/Peabody/Saugus areas.
When the We Rise Hotline is contacted, the call is triaged by a We Rise Outreach Worker who is able to offer immediate phone assistance and/or respond in-person within the hour. The We Rise Outreach Worker will provide psychological first aid, ensure victims’ immediate comfort, health, and safety needs are met, and offer in-person support and advocacy. The Outreach Worker will provide information and resources to connect youth with ongoing and transitional services with the goal of initiating a long-term supportive relationship that assists the youth with escaping exploitation.
