NSCC NOW: Dany Acosta | January 23, 2023
NSCC NOW is a program dedicated to spotlighting various persons from the college, including academic professors, programs and support services. Dulce Gonzalez, Community Liaison for Strategic Partnerships is the host for the program.
NSCC NOW had the honor of welcoming Dany Acosta, who is a proud alumni, class of 2018 and commencement speaker and an author! More than that, Dany’s story and life work has impacted the lives of so many people. The show covers Dany’s experience as a student at NSCC and his book “Blindly Painting Words of Love – A Poet’s Adventure.” This book uses 100% of the proceeds to help youth with disabilities in the US, Mexico, Guatemala, and have helped families who have lost their loved one’s to house fires and COVID. Additionally, the book has been donated to families across the US, and to various men and women in jail.
