Lynn Public Schools is proud to announce that Lynn English High School science students have clinched the top position at the recent North Shore Science League meet. Displaying exemplary knowledge, critical thinking, and teamwork, the students demonstrated their prowess in various scientific disciplines, securing a well-deserved first place.
“The LEHS Science Team always has a few dedicated students, but this year there is a level of widespread excitement and commitment across the entire team that I haven’t seen before in my 13 years at LEHS,” said LEHS science teacher and LEHS Science Team coach Jeffrey Bigler. “Our team has always done best in hands-on events, and the March meet had three of them. This gave our students a chance to really show what they can do, which was a first-place finish in two of the three events, and a second-place finish in the other one, a feat equaled by only one other school since I started coaching in the North Shore Science League in 2010. Needless to say, I am beyond proud of them!”
The success of Lynn English High School’s science students underscores the school’s commitment to providing a rigorous and enriching educational experience that prepares students for success in higher education and beyond. By fostering a culture of academic excellence and inquiry-based learning, Lynn English High School empowers students to explore their interests, develop critical thinking skills, and pursue their passions in science and beyond.
“The district is incredibly proud of the LEHS Science Team for their remarkable achievement of securing first place in their competition this March. Their dedication, teamwork, and passion for science have truly shone through, and we commend them for their outstanding success.”
