2025 Healthy Kids Day

The YMCA is excited to announce the annual Healthy Kids Day, set for Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the Demakes Family YMCA in Lynn. This free, community-wide event aims to inspire children and families to stay active, engaged, and healthy throughout the summer months and beyond.
Healthy Kids Day is the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families.
For over 30 years, YMCAs across the country have hosted free events designed to inspire kids and families to keep their minds and bodies active.
The YMCA will offer a variety of fun and educational activities designed to keep children moving, exploring, and developing essential skills.Families attending the event will have the opportunity to connect with local community organizations and resources that support children’s learning, health, and growth.

“When a child is healthy, happy, and supported, they can make great things happen,” says Karina Teixeira, Senior Executive Director, Demakes Family YMCA in Lynn. “We believe in the potential of all children, and we strive to help kids find that potential within themselves. Healthy Kids Day is a great opportunity to educate families and motivate kids to stay active.”
The Demakes Family YMCA involves more than 5,000 youth and teens in healthy and educational activities each year.
Healthy Kids Day is free and open to the public. Hundreds of families are expected to attend. Families are encouraged to attend and participate in the numerous activities and learning opportunities available such as Touch a Truck, Curious Creatures, Family Carnival, Youth Sports and Ninja Warrior demos, and more.
