From Greater Lynn Senior Services: For over twenty years, the Lique Living Legacy Fund has provided a compassionate safety net for individuals and families in crisis — ensuring that no one is left behind when an unexpected expense threatens their stability. Greater Lynn Senior Services collects donations for the Lique Fund year-round, and are asking the community for support.
A donation to the GLSS Lique Fund strengthens our ability to respond to emergencies and ensure that no one is left without help in their moment of need.
In times of uncertainty, the strength of a community lies in how it cares for its most vulnerable members. GLSS has served individuals and families through our varied programs for almost 50 years, providing essential support such as food security, housing assistance, mental health services, and crisis intervention and yet, the growing challenges facing our communities call for even greater resilience.
Established in 2004 by Vince and Kathy Lique, this emergency fund allows GLSS case managers to provide quick, meaningful assistance to clients needing a helping hand with unusual or unexpected expenses. These expenses can have a devastating effect on seniors living on fixed incomes and people living with disabilities struggling to maintain their independence. Quite simply, the Lique Fund provides for things like a pair of eye glasses, new mattresses and bedding, an air conditioner, or mobility equipment.
The fund was renamed in Vince’s memory in 2006, and his legacy lives on through you and others who are committed, as he was, to helping older adults and people with disabilities live independently, safely and with dignity.
People can also mail a check, made out to Greater Lynn Senior Services with “Lique Fund” written in the memo line. Checks can be mailed to:
