From Beyond Walls: Downtown Lynn will be full of art and collaboration from August 3 – 15, as Beyond Walls continues their Classroom to the Streets program! Artists, 13 Lynn Educator Fellows, and 13 Lynn High School Junior Fellows will work side by side to make their mark and bring their voice to the Beyond Walls downtown Lynn street art collection.

CTTS is an educational program and teacher fellowship where we partner with schools to bring public art to the classroom setting with curriculum and mural tours with thousands of students. CTTS uses the power of public art to transform learning, deepen community connections, and inspire change. By bringing students, educators, and artists together, we turn the streets into classroomsโ€“ empowering the exploration of identity, culture, and community through art. In addition to art teachers, teachers in science, technology, engineering, and Math will also be a part of the program this year.

Each year of CTTS, visiting artists create building-sized artworks in collaboration with Lynn Educators and High School Junior Fellows. Prior to the Two week installation period in Lynn, cohorts meet and ideate the mural concepts over a shared prompt. The result… stunning artworks reflective of the ideas, community feedback, and youth experiences from Lynn students.

Megan Oldhues

Country of Origin/Nationality: Canada
Wall Address: 168-172 Broad Street

Megan Oldhues is a Toronto-based muralist and painter working at the intersection of classical realism and contemporary public art. Known for her large-scale impressionistic murals, Megan captures everyday life with a focus on intimacy, emotional resonance, and human connection.

She began large-scale painting in 2015, learning to work quickly and instinctively while producing unsanctioned murals in Toronto. Her early experience led to mentorship opportunities with some of the cityโ€™s top street artists and scenic painting work on major film and TV productions including The Boys, Chucky, and Jack Reacher. These fast-paced environments sharpened her technical skill and affirmed her drive to pursue public-facing, emotionally rich work.

Megan is the founder of a mural production company and has completed projects for clients such as Puma, Foot Locker, Reeseโ€™s, and the City of Toronto. Her practice involves building relationships with local communities, photographing real people and spaces, and transforming these moments into figurative, painterly compositions. Using only primary colors and a limited acrylic palette, she hand-mixes each hue to achieve a distinctive softness and depth, similar to oil painting.

Taylor White

Country of Origin/Nationality: USA / North Carolina
Wall Address: 20 Neptune Blvd (Side A)

Taylor White is a North Carolina-based painter and muralist whose work explores the interplay between control and chaos, structure and spontaneity, the physical and the transcendent. Trained in traditional illustration and shaped by years of experience in street art and large-scale public projects, her practice bridges abstraction and figuration, blending rhythmic composition with raw, intuitive mark-making. Skillfully rendered figures are set against bold abstract elements that fragment reality, inviting the viewer into a deeper realm of interpretation in a dynamic interplay that speaks to the interconnectedness of life’s unseen dimensions. Through a creative color palette that is both vibrant and contemplative, White is able to craft scenes that evoke emotion and provoke thought.

White’s distinctive visual style has garnered attention from an array of prestigious clients, including Google Fiber, Hyatt Hotels, Mellow Mushroom, Microsoft, Lululemon, AC Hotels by Marriott, The NC Courage, Mack Real Estate Group, and Kane Realty Corp. Each has sought her out for her unique ability to breathe life, color, and emotion into her works, making them not just visually arresting, but also deeply resonant with audiences around the world.
