From Beyond Walls: Beyond Walls will celebrate the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup, the world’s premier soccer tournament, with a special Lynn Lights installation honoring the championship team! If Spain wins, the dynamic display will feature vibrant red and yellow lighting. If Argentina claims the title, the installation will shine in sky blue and white.
The commemorative lighting display will be activated on Sunday, July 19th at 8:18 PM and will illuminate adjacent sidewalks and streets each evening throughout the week of July 19. You can see this colorful display at the Central Square, Washington and Market Street underpasses along the MBTA Newburyport Line in Downtown Lynn.
Originally activated in 2018, Lynn Lights was created by Beyond Walls to improve pedestrian safety while bringing dynamic public art to downtown Lynn. The installation features 16,000 square feet of programmable LED lighting across the Central Square, Washington Street, and Market Street underpasses, transforming key pedestrian corridors into vibrant public spaces. This special display celebrates the global spirit of the World Cup and the winning team’s achievement.
