“Coula Christmas” Looking For Donations To Bring Holiday Cheer

Every year Lynn Classical holds a donation drive to help families in need: “Coula Christmas”. Coula was the longtime school secretary at Classical, and started this tradtion to help provide Christmas to families in need. She worked with the Social Workers in the elementary schools in the city to help provide the people in the most need with a little holiday relief. Coula is now retired and teachers Lauren Jenkins & Michael Curley have been leading the effort.

Lauren and Michael are in touch with social workers from several of the elementary schools around the city, who fill out a form with sizes and interests for students in need. After this a sponsor of the program buys some of the items, to hopefully bring joy to families during the holiday season. Those interested in being sponsors can full out the form linked below.

Currently there are about 40 families Coula Christmas is hoping to provide holiday cheer with a couple toys, warm clothes, and a good meal. In addition to sponsors they accept cash, venmo, checks, or gift cards. Gift cards for Target, Walmart, or Market Basket in increments of $25 are most requested. Please note: All gift donations need to be in by Thursday, December 12th.
