From the HHM Committee:Let’s continue inspiring our young people to be proud of who they are and where they come from!
This beautiful celebration began in 2016 at Breed Middle School’s Lecture Hall, with the support of our former Principal, Mrs. Julie Louf, now the Deputy Superintendent and Dr. olly Cohen, Lynn Public Schools Superintendent. What began as a celebration at Breed has grown into a meaningful Lynn community tradition, bringing together students, families, educators, and community organizations to celebrate our heritage, culture, identity, and contributions.

WHY DO WE CELEBRATE?
Because sometimes first- and second-generation Hispanic, Asian, African youth may feel ashamed of their language, their ancestors, or their heritage. We want to remind them that their heritage is not something to hide—it is something to be proud of! Identity is an important part of their self-esteem.
As immigrants and members of the community, we have a responsibility to inspire our young people and help them recognize the incredible contributions of Immigrants (Hispanic, Asian, African, etc.) throughout history and today.
Our language is our strength.
Our heritage is our identity.
Our history is our inspiration.
Our youth are our future.Come celebrate our heritage, our contributions, and our future!
