2025 Khmer Flag Raising
April 11 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT

Kakrona Center are proud to host their Annual Khmer Flag Raising Ceremony, in partnership with the City of Lynn, to recognize and celebrate the Khmer New Year – Year of the Snake.
The ceremony will include blessings from a local Cambodian pastor and the Head Monk of the Lynn Buddhist Temple. Additionally, participants from Rainbow Adult Day Healthcare will perform the Cambodian National Anthem.
The Year of the Snake 2025 (in the Cambodian lunar calendar) symbolizes wisdom, transformation, and intuition. People born in the Year of the Snake are believed to be thoughtful, intelligent, and calm under pressure. In Khmer culture, the snake also represents renewal and protection. As we welcome this New Year, we embrace growth, resilience, and a deeper connection to our traditions and community.
