From SMPSF: The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund (SMPSF) is pleased to share that applications for the Gordon Hall III Family Foundation Scholarship are now open!

Scholarships from the Phillips Fund are awarded every year to over 150 new applicants and over 300 returning scholars, to achieve their mission of making college more accessible by removing financial barriers. Awards from the Phillips Scholarship range from $2,000 – $17,000, and individual award amounts are based on each applicant’s unmet need. The award is renewable for up to four undergraduate years provided a GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is maintained during college and financial need does not change substantially.

The Hall Scholarship program recently announced a major expansion, which means that hundreds of thousands of dollars in renewable college scholarships will be awarded to selected applicants from Lynn and Marblehead who complete the application by May 1, 2026. Those applying from outside of Lynn or Marblehead will need to submit applications for the Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship.

“I am thrilled that this opportunity is now accessible to Lynn students. We are so happy that Gordon Hall’s generosity is making it possible for us to support more students through this program.”

SPMSF Executive Director, Barbara Iler
