LCTV member show looking for cast & audience members via Zoom

“THE SECRET SOCIETY OF AGING DIVAS” is a member-produced program for and about women over 50! This show is a fun, zany, uplifting, empowering laugh riot.

It is produced safely through the miracles of ZOOM, YouTube, Facebook Live and LCTV. This is for bragging rights only, but it is great fun and very therapeutic!

Women of all races and religions are wanted, encouraged and welcomed. We want to truly represent women from all cultures and beliefs.

If interested, please message me and I will send you links to our first four episodes. We start “filming” again in late February. You can try it without further obligation from the zoom gallery, or, be a regular.

Put a little spice in the Pandemic by “coming out” to play with other hip Aging Divas. No matter where you live, if you have a good WiFi connection and the Zoom app, you can join us.

Reminder: MBTA’s Forging Ahead Virtual Public Hearing Tonight

The MBTA is today reminding the public of tonight’s virtual public hearing from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to inform riders and stakeholders, and receive their feedback on Forging Ahead, the Authority’s plan to preserve transit access and quality of service available to transit-critical customers.

Tonight’s meeting will focus on system-wide service and is the Official Public Hearing.

The meeting will be held over Zoom and can be joined by computer, smartphone app, or telephone. Members of the public may register for the meeting here. Riders without internet access can call the MBTA Community Liaisons at 617-448-4374 to get call-in information for tonight’s and future meetings.

The public is encouraged to visit mbta.com/ForgingAhead for more information and a complete list of meeting dates and times for more communities.

From Mayor McGee’s office: The Lynn Public Health Department has confirmed that as of today, the number of active, confirmed positive COVID-19 cases is 1,079 with 40 new cases today. 5,673 Lynn residents have recovered and 129 have died. The total number of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Lynn since March 21, 2020, including those who have died and recovered, is 6,881. As Thanksgiving is one week away, here are some COVID-19 Thanksgiving Do’s & Don’ts:

DO’S:

• Wear a mask when not eating or drinking
• Keep your distance-at least 6 feet
• Wash your hands often with soap and water
• Improve ventilation by opening windows and doors

DON’TS

• Share food from the same plate or share drinks
• Shake hands or hug. Wave or verbally greet others instead
• Sing, dance, or shout which increase chances of catching the airborne virus
• Gather with high risk individuals such as older adults, and people with certain medical conditions
