Basic Desktop Computer Skills – free

*Thanks to a grant, these class do not require LCTV membership. _{However, membership for students is also free, and our affordable annual membership is required to train on and access video production equipment.}

In two hours, we go over desktop computers with an introduction to their hardware, operating systems, how to complete basic tasks and file management – plus, what makes them different from smartphones and tablets. Then, we talk about the Internet and online safety. Learning how to do more specific things on a computer and online is much easier once you have the basics down! After taking the course, you can come in to use our computer lab, and coming soon – access our Chromebooks!
