Honoring the “Classical Five” | June 11, 2021

On Friday, June 11, 2021 there was an event at the Lynn Museum/LynnArts honoring “The Classical Five”. These were players from the 1979-1980 Lynn Classical state champion basketball team who went undefeated. The players reflected on their season, were presented a citation by Mayor McGee on behalf of the City of Lynn, & took part in a Q&A. The players involved were Angelo “Tony” Thurman, William “Pancho” Bingham, Meryl Brown, James “Sandy” McGee, & Stuart Primus. Their head coach that season was Dan Dill, who was also present.
