The Nan Project were our guests on the first Lynn Lowdown this week. Executive Director Jake Cavanaugh and peer mentor Arthur Williams Jr. joined us to discuss this non-profit and the work they are doing in Lynn. The NAN Project was established in 2015 and is dedicated to raising the conversation about depression and suicide above a whisper by giving communities and schools the forum, tools, and resources needed to accept and address depression and suicidality.

On our second edition of the Lynn Lowdown this week we welcomed on the Lynn Public Health Department. Public Health Director Lisa Tobin and grants specialist Damianny Garrido joined Dani to discuss some of the mental health initiatives they are currently working on. The duo talked about how Public Health currently has programs in the schools to combat mental health issues among students, are working on more in the future, and using grants to fund these initiatives.
