LCTV News Interview | Lynn’s Inaugural Poet Laureate: Michelle “LaPoetica” Richardson | September 5, 2025
On the second Lowdown this week we invited on the first-ever Poet Laureate for the City of Lynn. Michelle “LaPoetica” Richardson was selected for this position in April, with the goal to “using the power of poetry to connect, uplift, and reflect the heart of the Lynn community” over her two-year term. Michele is a longtime Lynn resident that proudly identifies as a “creative soul,” a community organizer, a “love and unity advocate”, and is a fierce supporter of the arts. She discussed her journey to this position, what she hopes to accomplish, and the legacy she hopes to create as Lynn’s Inaugural Poet Laureate.
