Basic Desktop Computer Skills – free
*Thanks to a grant, these class do not require LCTV membership. However, membership for students is also free, and our affordable annual membership is required to train on and access video production equipment.
In two hours, we go over desktop computers with an introduction to their hardware, operating systems, how to complete basic tasks and file management – plus, what makes them different from smartphones and tablets. Then, we talk about the Internet and online safety. Learning how to do more specific things on a computer and online is much easier once you have the basics down! After taking the course, you can come in to use our computer lab, and coming soon – access our Chromebooks!
At least one class per month is bi-lingual. For the latest schedule, click the image below and share with a friend or family member who may not currently have online access. Advance registration required!

*This project was funded by the Massachusetts Broadband Institute at the MassTech Collaborative under the Municipal Digital Equity Implementation Program. Funding was provided by Massachusetts ARPA State Fiscal Recovery Funds.
