The annual Juneteenth celebration was held on Lynn Common this past Saturday, June 21. Juneteenth (June 19) celebrates the day in 1865 in Galveston, Texas that the last slaves were notified they were free from slavery. Dozens filled the Common for a day of speeches, music, food, and more.
