City of Lynn Seeking Feedback For First-ever Arts & Culture Plan

From Lynn Arts & Culture Planner Marysa Angelli: The City of Lynn is creating its first-ever Arts & Culture Plan!

We are engaging with the community to understand what Lynners want and need so that we can develop dedicated strategies to support the city’s creative sector and to expand residents’ access and participation in the local arts and culture programming.

In 2023, the City of Lynn adopted its comprehensive plan, Vision Lynn, which focuses on making Lynn a place where people feel safe, have access to opportunities, and can enjoy a strong sense of community and pride. Vision Lynn emphasizes integrating arts and culture into city development through strategies like public art, street art, mixed-use buildings, and cultural activities. The Arts & Culture Plan will help us strengthen arts, culture, and community life in Lynn to support economic development and build a more connected and inclusive city.

All community members are invited to take the survey!

Whether you are an artist, a creative entrepreneur, or a Lynn resident looking for more things to do we would love to hear from you. The survey is available in English, Spanish, and Khmer with the link below.

Please complete the survey by August 30^th

Throughout the fall, the Planning Department will hold listening sessions in the community to hear directly from Lynn residents, local business owners, artists, and cultural workers about what they want to see.

We will review community feedback from the survey and from listening events to identify what is working well, where gaps exist, and where new investments will have the biggest impact. The final step will be to write an official strategy document that outlines action steps for the City.
