From the North Shore Juneteenth Association: Join us for a powerful and reflective community gathering as we read “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?” by Frederick Douglass.
Together, we will engage in a meaningful discussion following the reading, creating space to reflect on the speech’s enduring relevance and its connection to our present day.
Guests will enjoy lunch, music from a live DJ, and opportunities to connect with local organizations and small business owners sharing resources and products.
